Ruben Guerra Appointed to The Hospitals of Providence New Campus Board
The Hospitals of Providence Transmountain Campus has appointed its Governing Board to establish strategic operational goals aimed toward the quality and patient safety of the new teaching hospital. Ruben Guerra is one of the nine talented and passionate leaders in the El Paso community who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the new teaching hospital provides world class healthcare and moves health forward in the El Paso region. Ruben Guerra currently serves as a governing board member of Memorial and Sierra Campuses. He was appointed to the Board in 2002 and served as Chairman in 2007.
Transmountain Campus is a new multi-million dollar teaching hospital and 110,000 sq. ft.medical office building in far West El Paso. The new teaching hospital is a joint venture with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) El Paso and is slated to open in 2017. Transmountain Campus will have capacity up to 140 beds and will operate as part of The Hospitals of Providence, Tenet’s system of hospitals serving as a teaching hospital for medical students, nursing students resident physicians and faculty from TTUHSC’s Paul L. Foster School of Medicine.
